In the spotlight: Enjoy your rows of pearls by updating them!

Dear Lovers of beautiful Gems and Jewelry,

Since the beginning of the school year, MLG has been offering you a sustainable activity for rethreading and upcycling your strands of pearls OR how to make new and beautiful things out of old things you no longer wear!

Pearl strand upcycling includes 2 levels:

① I can repair (sometimes preventively) a piece of jewelry by re-wiring it to match.

When a necklace is worn every day, it should be re-threaded every 2/3 years, as the thread often wears out and breaks or loosens, leaving an unattractive "gap" between the pearls.

Entrust me with your necklace and I will return it to you as good as new, white freshwater pearls or Akoya or Tahitian pearls ;-))

② I can also transform a forgotten strand of pearls in a drawer by modernizing it: I can rethread with a colored thread, add other pearls or gems between the pearls, change the clasp to one that's more practical (for example, a magnetic one) and more designer than the original clasp, which is often dated or has lived too long.

For me, it's a tribute to the pearl, the queen of gems. What's more, it gives a 2nd life to an old purchase abandoned in the drawer, or to an heirloom that we don't wear but that remains dear to our hearts.

Here, a simple pearl bracelet has been upgraded with a beautiful, powerful brushed gold-plated silver magnetic clasp and re-threaded with a gold thread, as the customer likes warm, statement colors.

Do you have an antique jewel in the family that you don't wear?

➡️ Contact me - contact@mylittlegarnet.ch - and we'll see together how I can make it your own!

Thread colors currently in stock, others are available to spice up your old strand of beads.

Of course, rethreading in white is still a safe bet!

If you'd like to change your clasp, here's a selection of My Little Garnet's magnetic or C-shaped jewelry clasps for added design and practicality.

My credo: as I always wish to make beautiful gems accessible to as many people as possible, prices remain moderate and start at 110CHF for the complete rethreading of a bracelet and 200CHF for a custom-made necklace; in both cases after a meeting at the atelier they will be designed and made FOR YOU according to your tastes and your wearing occasions.
